Jeff Zeigler – Founder, Chairman and CEO

Jeff Zeigler founded TechTurn in 1999 after working in the computer services industry for eight years. Jeff developed programs domestically and internationally for manufacturers and service providers in the IT industry, focusing on returns management and asset recovery programs.

Jeff continues to focus on the strategic direction of the company and works closely with the business development team that sells asset recovery services to large corporate accounts.

Jake Player – President

Jake Player joined TechTurn in the summer of 2006 after serving as the leader of Worldwide Asset Recovery Services for Dell, Inc. One of Dell's fastest growing services businesses, the Asset Recovery Services group grew 82 percent under Jake's leadership. Jake is also a member of TechTurn’s board of directors.

Jake graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas in 1997. He earned his undergraduate degree from Hampden-Sydney College in 1991. He may be contacted at jake.player@techturn.com.


Vito Fabiano Chief Operations Officer

Prior to joining TechTurn, Vito Fabiano held global leadership roles at Dell and Pitney Bowes. Fabiano spent nine years at Dell, where he was the founder of Dell Managed Services, VP/GM of Dell Americas Services Delivery and VP of Finance for Dell’s Worldwide Service Business. At Dell Managed Services, Fabiano established significant organizational capabilities which built the foundation for market credibility, profitability and accelerated growth.
Fabiano’s 30-year track record of corporate leadership also includes 19 years at Pitney Bowes, where he served as VP of Finance, General Manager of Business Product Center Operations, CFO and CIO for the Mailing Products Division, CFO and General Manager for PB Financial Services, and CEO of Pitney Bowes of Canada. Mr. Fabiano earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Computer Management from Fordham University, and a MBA in Finance from Iona College. He is a CPA. Trent Turner, Chief Financial Officer

Trent Turner is the chief financial officer of TechTurn and is responsible for the accounting, finance and reporting functions, as well as the related controls around these areas. Trent joined TechTurn after an eight-year career in the finance organization at Dell, Inc. During his tenure there, Trent held roles in Corporate Finance, Services Finance, Dell Financial Services and Treasury. His expertise lies in establishing disciplined financial processes. Trent's career also includes positions in Corporate Finance at Associates First Capital Corporation, the Controllership of $2M Medicare home health agency, and in the audit department of Price Waterhouse. Trent is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an Accounting degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Trent may be contacted at trent.turner@techturn.com.

Bob Shiels – Vice President, Sales

 

As vice president of sales, Bob is responsible for developing new business within Fortune 1000 companies and other assigned accounts throughout the United States. With more than 15 years of computer services and IT consulting sales experience, Bob uses his extensive technology background to develop and manage key enterprise accounts for TechTurn. Previously, he served as the founder and director of business development for Secondary Technology Source. Bob also served as a key member of Redemtech's business development team in Columbus, Ohio and was the vice president of sales at Jordan Lawrence Group in St. Louis, Missouri. Jeff Genung, Vice President, Sales

Jeff Genung is responsible for developing new business with fortune 1000 clients and both increasing and diversifying TechTurn’s  product supply channels.

Prior to joining TechTurn in 2002, Jeff served in a number of senior roles as an entrepreneur and as a senior executive. His diverse business experience includes such industries as technology start-ups, insurance, retail and small business consulting. Bill Long – Vice President, Strategic Partners

As vice president of Strategic Partners, Bill is responsible for establishing  appropriate programs with the company’s strategic partners to secure product availability, maximize product recoveries and verify that TechTurn’s recycling network maintains compliance with environmental standards.

Since joining TechTurn in 2002, Bill has served as business development manager and director of operations. Previously, he spent 15 years at Compaq Computer in corporate finance, new product introduction and computer recycling.

David J. Wright - Vice President Product Sales and eCommerce

David J. Wright joined TechTurn in September 2007 with responsibility for global product sales, ecommerce and web-based initiatives to drive revenue growth and diversity.

Prior to joining TechTurn, David was with Solectron Corporation, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Milpitas, California, responsible for the launch of both equipment remarketing and ecommerce initiatives for their Global Services group. David’s initiatives earned him a Best New Business award within Global Services for 2006/2007. In addition, Wright was a key member of the Styx Capital executive team and has spent over fifteen years in the financial services industry to include five years developing, launching and expanding off lease equipment channels for Dell Financial Services.  David can be reached at david.wright@techturn.com

Senator Bill Bradley

Senator William W. Bradley, 64, is a Managing Director of Allen & Company LLC. 

From 2001-2004, he acted as chief outside advisor to McKinsey & Company’s nonprofit practice.  He was a Senior Advisor and Vice Chairman of the International Council of JP Morgan & Co., Inc. from 1997-1999.  During that time, he also worked as an essayist for CBS evening news and was a visiting professor at Stanford University, University of Notre Dame and the University of Maryland.

 Senator Bradley served in the U.S. Senate from 1979 – 1997 representing the state of New Jersey.  In 2000, he was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.  Prior to serving in the Senate, he was an Olympic gold medalist in 1964 and a professional basketball player with the New York Knicks from 1967 – 1977 during which time they won 2 NBA championships.  In 1982, he was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame. 

Senator Bradley holds a BA degree in American History from Princeton University and an MA degree from Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar.  He has authored six books on American politics, culture and economy, including his latest book The New American Story.  Currently, Senator Bradley hosts American Voices, a weekly show on Sirius Satellite Radio that highlights the remarkable accomplishments of Americans both famous and unknown.


Michael J. Farello, Partner, Catterton Partners

Michael is a Partner of Catterton Partners, the leading private equity firm exclusively focused on providing equity investments to growing middle market consumer companies in North America. Prior to joining Catterton, Michael held several executive operating positions at Dell including general manager of Dell's multi-billion-dollar consumer electronics and direct stores businesses, vice president of consumer marketing and e-business, and executive assistant to the Office of the Chairman.

Previously, Michael spent 12 years at McKinsey & Company, most recently as a partner focusing on the firm's retail, hospitality, media, entertainment and consumer clients facing growth or customer service challenges. Michael left McKinsey to serve as senior vice president of sales and marketing at Escalate, a privately held software company serving specialty retail customers.


Nikhil (Nik) Thukral, Partner, Catterton Partners

Nik is a partner at Catterton Partners. Prior to joining Catterton, he was a vice president at MidOcean Partners, a New York- and London-based private equity firm. Prior to MidOcean, he spent three years with DB Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Deutsche Bank and the predecessor entity to MidOcean. While at MidOcean and DB Capital, he helped originate, evaluate, and monitor both control and minority investments in middle market companies in the consumer products and general industrial sectors. Prior to joining DB Capital, Nik was an associate in the Healthcare group at JP Morgan and Co., where he focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions and capital-raising mandates for clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare services sectors, respectively.

Nik received a BS in Finance with High Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

 

Dan Esty

Dan Esty is Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy at Yale University with faculty appointments in both Yale’s Environment and Law Schools. He is Director of the Center for Business and Environment at Yale (www.yale.edu/cbey) and the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy (www.yale.edu/envirocenter).

Formerly a senior official at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Dan is one of the world’s leading experts on corporate environmental strategy.  He and his consulting group, Esty Environmental Partners (www.EstyEP.com), have advised CEOs and top executives from Dow, Hanes, Honeywell, Ikea, Kerr-McGee, Limited Brands, Nokia, Northeast Utilities, Shell, and more than a dozen other companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia.  Dan helped establish and continues to serve on Environmental Advisory Boards at Coca-Cola and Unilever. 

Dan is the author or editor of nine books and numerous articles on environmental policy issues and the relationships between the environment and trade, competitiveness, governance, development, and environmental performance.  His recent prizewinning book, Green to Gold: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage, explains why environmental thinking has become a core element of business strategy and how corporate environmental efforts can generate significant market opportunities.
